Show and Tell

A joyful, confidence-building tradition at our studio!

What Is Show & Tell?

Show & Tell is a special in-class experience where all classes dancing at the same time slot come together in Studio 1 and perform for each other.  If there are parents around during that time they are welcome to watch too as part of the audience.  Dancers share what they’ve been working on, and it helps prepare them to take the stage in a couple of weeks, as they can practice entrances and bows and learn how to be supportive audience members.

This is a positive, low-pressure opportunity for dancers to:

  • Build confidence and performance presence
  • Practice audience etiquette
  • Strengthen musicality and expression
  • Celebrate progress
  • Foster community with other classes
  • Reinforce our studio values: Be Ready, Be Responsible, Be Respectful

Whether your dancer is participating in the Holiday Showcase or not, Show & Tell is meaningful, fun, and part of our development process at Dance/10.

Why We Do It

Build Confidence

Dancers learn to perform for an audience in a supportive space.

Practice Performance Etiquette

Entrances, bows, transitions, and audience behavior are an important part of dance education.

Strengthen Community

Families, students, and classes come together to celebrate progress.

My daughter has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Now at age 11 she has really come to her own as a dancer. At Dance/10 she is not restricted to taking only one type of dance she has the option to participate in all forms of dance.
