Below you will find answers to some of the most common questions regarding how we operate, our programs, and what students can expect at Dance/10.

We offer classes in jazz, tap, ballet/pointe, acrobatics, lyrical/modern, contemporary, musical theater, hip hop, voice, acting, and various camps.

We offer classes for students ranging in age from 3 years to Adult.

Yes, we offer classes for children and teens of all levels (beginner through pre-professional). We offer classes in each style of dance for all levels.

There is not a formal audition process for class placement. However, class placement is done at the discretion of the director and or teachers. Specific class placement is based on age, ability, and experience.

Our program runs for 11.5 months from mid-August through July. Class attendance is extremely important for your child’s progress. For all classes, there is a two-month commitment for lessons. There is a drop-in program available to adult students.

Yes. We have two (low pressure) recitals each year. In December we have a recital to showcase our progress from the beginning of the year. In mid-July we have our final recital which allows our dancers to perform for their parents and friends to see what they have learned throughout the year. It also gives students a chance to enhance their performance skills.

We offer two ways to observe classes:

  1. Parents can observe class through our secure online streaming service Spot TV
  2. There is a closed-circuit TV in our lobby so that parents may view our Academy of Little Stars Classes.

Both options allow for viewing without causing any distraction to students. The main reason we do not allow parents in the studio spaces it hinders the teachers’ ability to maintain the students’ focus.

My daughter has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Now at age 11 she has really come to her own as a dancer. At Dance/10 she is not restricted to taking only one type of dance she has the option to participate in all forms of dance.
