When in doubt, hair should be in a clean bun.
Use hair elastics that blend with hair color (no bright colors). Our
Performance Hair and Hair Piece Video Resource Page on the Recital Info Center
features videos for textured and non-textured hair. While the videos focus on buns, the techniques are also useful for clean ponytails and half-up, half-down styles.
If your costume has a hairpiece, it should be applied to the right of the bun, unless otherwise specified.
Make-up: Make-up is needed to enhance natural features under the stage lights. As a general rule, some pink blush and red lipstick are what are needed for most classes. Eye shadow is great, but keep the colors neutral. The Recital Info Center has more details.
We have a vendor providing flowers at the recital. There may be some available for purchase on-site, but pre-orders are strongly recommended.
Don’t forget you can also purchase/order commemorative show shirts from the floral vendor.
