Summer Camps

Shakespeare Song & Dance Camp

A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Musical

This camp is designed to give beginning-advanced performers an opportunity to dive into a character and tell the story of a popular Shakespeare play as a musical. We will focus on creative play, character creation, and rehearsal, culminating in a performance of an abbreviated Shakespeare play turned musical. This year, we will explore A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Theatre and dance educator Ryan Justus will guide campers on this journey as campers experience all three aspects of musical theatre (acting, singing, and dancing) and increase their knowledge of Shakespeare and theatre by learning what it takes to put on a show!

Then, we will put it all together in a dazzling showcase on Friday, June 21st, at Dance/10 at 1:00pm. Camp ends on Friday after the performance is over.

Please bring a lunch. Ballet or Jazz shoes required. Wear dance clothes. Camps are non-refundable.

My daughter has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Now at age 11 she has really come to her own as a dancer. At Dance/10 she is not restricted to taking only one type of dance she has the option to participate in all forms of dance.
