Shakespeare Song & Dance Camp

Macbeth, The Musical

Yarrr, Hamlet! A Ye Olde Pirate Musical is a swashbuckling, laugh-out-loud take on Shakespeare’s most famous tragedy—reimagined as a high-seas musical adventure. Was this what Shakespeare meant to write? Probably. Ghosts become legends, swords become stage business, and dramatic soliloquies get a pirate twist as young performers bring this classic tale to life in a whole new way.

Guided by theater and dance educator Ryan Justus, campers will explore Shakespeare’s language and characters through creative play, character creation, and rehearsal—while singing, dancing, and acting their way through a fully staged mini musical. Designed for both beginners and experienced performers, this camp builds confidence, collaboration, and performance skills while introducing students to Shakespeare in a fun, accessible, and memorable format.

The week will culminate in a rollicking showcase on Friday at 1:00 PM, where campers will take the stage to share their pirate-powered production with family and friends. Camp ends after the performance.
