Sammie first stepped into Dance/10 in 1998, and it’s felt like home ever since! She became a company member in 2005 and joined The Tap Dancing Christmas Trees in 2006, performing in four Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades, including the 2016 opening with the Muppets. Sammie trained with the Rockettes, Anaheim Ballet, and California State University, Fullerton, where she earned her B.A. in Communications with a focus in Entertainment and Tourism Studies. From 2012 to 2017, she danced professionally at the Disneyland Resort in the Pixar Play Parade, Paint the Night Electrical Parade, and special events, as well as performing in Disney Flashback as part of Disney VoluntEARS.

Outside of Dance/10, Sammie is a certified Jazzercise and Pure Barre instructor, a passion that grew naturally from her lifelong love of dance. Inspired by her Disney experience, Sammie brings the same sense of magic, joy, and storytelling to her teaching and administrative work at Dance/10. She believes every dancer deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and confident, as well as creating a space where learning feels as exciting as stepping onto a stage.

When she’s not teaching or performing, Sammie enjoys life with her husband, Max, and their baby boy, William, who you might just see around the studio!
