Amanda Justus

Amanda began dancing at the age of 5 and quickly discovered her passion for performing. An award-winning competitive dancer in solo, duo, and group categories, Amanda has trained extensively in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, acrobatics, and singing. Her versatility and stage presence have earned her numerous accolades and opportunities to perform both locally and nationally.
Amanda’s performance credits include a wide range of theatrical and dance productions: High School Musical (Sharpay), Mary Poppins (Jane), and Alameda Civic Light Opera’s Annie (Cecile/Chorus), as well as Peter Pan (Chorus). She has performed and competed with Dance/10’s Company as both a youth and an adult. She is a member of The Tap Dancing Christmas Trees and has appeared in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2001, 2004, and 2007. Additional credits include featured performances at Disney Magic Music Days, Paramount’s Great America Dance Days, Relay for Life, A Night of Stars, and the Gospel Awards.
Amanda’s commercial and industrial experience includes featured work for Wells Fargo, Comcast, and Chrysler Motor Corporation, as well as a national Coca-Cola commercial where she appeared as the Tap Dancing Jester.
A former Miss Dance USA (2005) and Miss Dance of California (2006), Amanda has represented Dance Masters of California, Chapter 13, at national competition as a soloist. Her training includes instruction from renowned educators such as Pamm Drake, J. Verduzco, Antoinette Bertolani, Serena Cefalu, Bryant Cash-Welch, Deborah Emerson-Boyd, Charles McGowen, Mike Wittmers, Mia Michaels, Allan Frais, and Nick Lazzarini, along with continued study at Dance/10 Performing Arts Center.
In addition to her performing career, Amanda is a licensed cosmetologist who brings her creativity and artistry into every class she teaches. She finds great joy in helping students discover their own passion for dance, just as she didaswe
